➳THIS WEEK: I’m grateful for my eyesight.

Have you’ve ever been asked the question,

“If you were to ever lose one of your senses what one would you give up?”

I feel like I’ve been asked this question countless times.

And every single time I respond first with,


(Even though many friends and family like to point out that I don’t have the BEST eyesight…I’m still grateful. At least I’ve got TWO gorgeous eyeballs to work with. 😉 )

In all seriousness though, how can you not place value on the incredible pleasure of your vision?

Especially this time of year.

There is something just so calming about the fall season. Between the delicious, comforting food choices; like soups, chilis and casseroles, to fuzzy warm knit sweaters and we can’t forget that first sip of a warm bevys on a brisk day, (it just soothes the soul)!

There are just so many reasons to soak up the most of this festive season.

But by far, my favourite element about fall, is the beautiful array of bright and playful colours.

For the past couple months I’ve made walking Layla, my Chihuahua fur baby, a major priority. Not only does it get us both moving, this also helps me to chalk up some steps on my Fitbit tracker, but the neighbourhood I live in, is just so lovely and authentic.

On our walk yesterday, I couldn’t help but want to snapchat every single gorgeously glowing tree. But, I decided to just embrace what was before my very eyes instead.

So we sat, and we soaked up the views together.

Afterwards, Lay seemed to have a bit more pep in her step.

I think she’s grateful for her vision this week too…

I wanted to encourage you to try to move your eyes in the direction of what’s before you this week as well.

Soak up the nature, and the present moment. The fine-looking fall season won’t last…

Now my question for you is:

Each Wednesday moving forward I would like to dedicate to a mid-week reflection.

I know we all start each week of with the best intentions, but sometimes life gets in the way, and we become disconnected.

So instead of focusing on your faults, and where you still need to improve I want you to channel your energy towards what you already love about yourself.

This could be anything!

  • Do you love your ability to never give up?
  • Do you love that although you may be stressed, you do not bring others down?
  • Do you love that you helped someone achieve greatness today?
  • Do you love how beautiful you looked when you saw your reflection in the mirror today?
  • Do you love the progress you’ve made on your daily to-do list?
  • Do you love how you perfected your workout plan?
  • Do you love your outfit?
  • Do you love your ability to smile even at the hardest of times?

Whatever it may be, materialistic, physical, or inner love… just find one thing that made your heart feel full this week.
