WHERE IS THE LOVE WEDNESDAY: Remember to see the light, even through the darkest of times

Where is the love wednesday
Being able to see the light, even through the darkest of times.

There’s no denying it.

Last weeks horrific events shook the entire world to the core, leaving us in a state of shock and feeling deeply heartbroken for Beirut and Paris.

The immense amount of hatred, destruction, and inequality
that is occurring is truly gut wrenching.

With so much devastation, and negative media coverage
it’s easy for us to get stuck in a state of panic, feeling helpless.

However, we must keep in mind that this lingering toxic energy imprisons us
to living in a state of fear.

We know fear to be a controlling force that limits our potential,
and confines us.

We must always remember to see the light,
even through the darkest of times.

Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times

Through all the pain and suffering, it’s important that we continue to focus on what we can do to make a difference and keep putting good back into the world.

Within each and every single one of us, we have a light that once we ignite it,
we can use it to uplift others.

Although you may not know it, if you are acting out of love,
the chances are good that someone is watching
and you are inspiring them in more ways than you could ever imagine.

I realized this when I was in the midst of creating Turn up the Love.

Although no one publically announced that my work and message was inspiring them, I had an incredible amount of positive feedback from others stating that they truly felt liberated by what I was doing and they urged me to stick with it.

With that being said, I wanted to be the one to remind you, that you too, have some really important and soulful work that you also need to put out into the world.

There are many ways to get involved. You could:

  • Donate clothing, furniture, and other possessions to those in need.
  • Set up a collection program at your office for money and non-perishables.
  • Ride in bike-a-thons, run or walk in 5Ks.
  • Volunteer at a soup kitchen/homeless shelter.

There are also several Non Profit Organizations you can become apart of.

If you’re unsure of where to start, check out Givewell.org, which helps donors decide where to give.

The opportunities to serve others are endless.
The first step is to just believe that YOU CAN make a difference.

Have you ever wanted to give back but didn’t know where to start?
Tell me all about the ideas you have, and what causes are important to you and why? What do you stand for?

Please try to share as much detail as possible, as others may also be able to relate, and you might be able inspire someone else to take action also!

I’d also love to hear what YOUR mid-week reflection is.

How did you re-connect, express gratitude and send love towards yourself this week?
This could be anything!
Do you love your ability to never give up?
Do you love that although you may be stressed, you do not bring others down?
Do you love that you helped someone achieve greatness today?
Do you love how beautiful you looked when you saw your reflection in the mirror?
Do you love the progress you’ve made on your daily to-do list?
Do you love how you perfected your workout plan?
Do you love your outfit?
Do you love your ability to smile even at the hardest of times?

Whatever it may be, materialistic, physical, or inner love… just find one thing that made your heart feel full this week.
