And I’m not going to lie…when I first set the intention of eating intuitively, (over 2 years ago now), I was scared sh*tless.
I worried about not being able to stick with intuitive eating because literally, everything else had failed me.
Whether it was following a meal plan, tracking my foods, using detox teas, sticking to a disciplined workout schedule, reading diet books, taking ‘weight loss’ supplements, or going on yet another juice cleanse…
I had tried it ALL and NOTHING seemed to work.
So, of course, I was skeptical.
Not to mention fearful about regaining all my weight back, or feeling like I was going to completely let myself go.
I was freaked out about releasing CONTROL.
Leaving the food rules behind can be really challenging when you haven’t yet learned how to trust food, or built up your intuitive skills to know what to eat, when and how much.
You’re just left with sooo many questions.
I get it.
I know breaking out of the diet box can be scary AF.
But here’s the thing…
You’ve gotta know that diet culture has stripped you of your natural born intuitive nature.
It CREATES a disconnection.
But that’s not to say that you can’t rebuild that intuition muscle again.
If you’d rather make peace with food, than start another diet, you CAN make this happen.
Now, I will be completely honest with you…
The transition from dieting to intuitive eating isn’t a straight and narrow journey.
It can be long…hard…and downright #awkward.
But so was learning how to walk!
